The trio Ukambani Governors are now dancing a different tune from that of Kalonzo Musyoka, the Ukambani kingpin who has politically commanded the region for years since his entry into politics.
The suspicious question is, why have the three ditched Wiper boss for Raila?
Noting that the three county bosses are under probe by the EACC over the misuse of the devolved resources in their respective counties , it has been suspected that they are seeking favor from Senator Kajwang through his party boss Raila Odinga.
Sources have disclosed that Mutua, Ngilu and Kibwana donated 10M, 5M and 3M respectively to finance the ODM’s campaigns.
Recently the three, Dr Alfred Mutua of Machakos, Prof. Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni and Charity Ngilu of Kitui were spotted in Kibra constituency where they accompanied the ODM leader Raila odinga during his last campaign tour.
They were in mission to woe the Kibra voters to back the Raila’s choice.
However, the Wiper boss, Kalonzo Musyoka, who has backed Raila’s presidential quest for two consecutive terms announced to remain neutral.
The Senate PAC Committee chaired by Homa Bay County Senator Moses Kajwang summoned the three governors separately during their Senate Mashinani tour in Kitui months ago where none of them turned up to answer the queries over the embezzlement of the devolved resources.
