The former Kisumu Governor H.E Jack Ranguma has lost in his petition challenging the victorious win of incumbent Gov. H. E Anyang’ Nyong’o.
Kisumu High Court Judge Justice David Majanja dismissed the petition by Ranguma that the August 8th,2017 elections was not free, fair and credible. The former Gov. claimed there was massive ballot stuffing in the August general elections.
Justice Majanja has ordered Ranguma to pay sh 2.5 million fine to cater for the petition costs. The judge disregarded the claims of electoral offences as invalid, unworthy and full of propaganda due to lack of tangible evidence.
However, the former Gov. denied the ruling and has vowed to appeal to the Court of Appeal of Kenya. This has come after he has explained his dissatisfaction by the today’s morning ruling at Kisumu High Court which has upheld Nyong’os win.
